What do I need to do/prepare before a facial?- Avoid using prescription Retin-A for at least 4-5 days. - Avoid strong exfoliating acids such as glycolic acid for at least 2-3 days. This includes 'at home' strength peels. - Take note of all your current medications to communicate with your esthetician. - If you have had any laser, botox or filler treatments, please refrain from a facial service for at least 2 weeks. These considerations will ensure you receive a full, concentrated treatment on the day.
-
How often should I schedule a facial? It is generally recommended every 4-6 weeks. The average skin cell turnover is 28-40 days. As we age, this rate slows down which is why it is important to see your esthetician for maintenance, prevention and protection.
-
Can I schedule a facial after botox/filler?Please wait 2 weeks after your botox/filler appointment to schedule any facial treatments.
-
What is the downtime after a facial?Everyone's skin is different and will have different results after a facial. Most facials will not require any 'recovery time'. As the skin is stimulated with extractions, facial massage or advanced modalities, the skin may be a little pink but this will subside in a few hours. A beautiful facial treatment will not leave you with any redness or irritation. We encourage clients to maintain their skin post-facial by wearing SPF daily, staying hydrated and avoiding strenuous exercise for at least 24 hours.
-
How long does a lash lift last?Lash lifts and brow laminations generally last 6-8 weeks. With proper care, it can last longer.
-
What can I expect from a chemical peel? You’ll leave your appointment looking glowing and refreshed! Our AHA chemical peels require little to zero downtime. You may feel a light tingling sensation during a chemical peel, however this means the AHA's are working their magic. Your esthetician will work with you to ensure you are comfortable and relaxed throughout the whole process. Please note, chemical peel facials are not available for first time clients*
